Bahamas backdrop for iconic Leap of Faith
The Bahamas was the perfect setting for amazing world records, inspired by one of the most popular video games of all time.
Ubisoft, creator of the Assassin’s Creed game franchise collaborated with Red Bull to conduct a series of gravity-defying stunts, closely related to the game that has sold more than 230 million copies across all its releases. Professional stunt personnel carried out four impressive dives – cliff dives, dives from a pirate ship, sand jumps and the Leap of Faith into a haystack, which is a signature Assassin’s Creed maneuver.
The stunts were carried out in and around Long Island, The Bahamas. Dean’s Blue Hole, the world’s second-deepest marine blue hold, was among the selected locations. The efforts resulted in the world’s highest front flip into sand and the world record for a Leap of Faith freefall into nothing but hay.
