At The Bahamas Film & Television Commission, we’re committed to making filming in our beautiful islands seamless and stress-free. It starts upon receipt of your Bahamas filming permit application and the process takes about five business days from start to finish. Ready to get started?

Apply for your film permit: What you'll need

  1. A letter of intent introducing your company and outlining the nature of your project. The letter should include: 
    1. Types of locations required 
    2. Island or islands being used for locations, as well as the port of arrival and departure
    3. Starting and ending date of your project
    4. An indication of where and when your production will be viewed, screened or broadcasted
  1. Complete online permit application above. You should attach: 
    1. A list of cast and crew members, passport details, and flight information, An example of the crew list may be viewed here
    2. A list of photographic equipment, props and wardrobe items, including their list of values and a grand total value in US dollars (in order to arrange approvals and duty waivers). This should be in PDF form. 
    3. A list of required production personnel and talent
    4. Script 
    5. Storyboard, if applicable
    6. Insurance Information
